The young Egyptian international Hamza Abdelkarim continues his journey in Catalonia. Arriving at FC Barcelona last February from Al Ahly, the 18-year-old forward has signed an extension that now ties him to the club until June 2030.

Barça bets on the young Egyptian forward

FC Barcelona has officially announced the contract extension of Hamza Abdelkarim until June 2030. At just 18 years old, the Egyptian forward is now part of the long-term plans of the Catalan club.

Trained at Al Ahly, Abdelkarim joined Barcelona last February on loan. He initially played with the club's youth teams, where his offensive performances quickly caught attention.

In eleven appearances, the young Egyptian scored six goals, showcasing an efficiency that solidified Barça's decision to continue their collaboration with him.

Purchase option activated in June

After several months wearing the Barcelona colors, the Catalan club decided to activate its purchase option in June. This decision paved the way for a permanent settlement of the player in Catalonia.
