In a display of diplomatic rapport, the Commonwealth of Dominica praised King Mohammed VI's innovative vision for South-South cooperation during a meeting in Rabat on Monday. Dominican Foreign Minister Vince Henderson joined his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, for high-level discussions that highlighted the growing relationship between the two nations.

Henderson commended King Mohammed VI's leadership, emphasizing the principles of efficiency, solidarity, and pragmatism that underpin the Monarch's efforts in strengthening South-South cooperation. The minister expressed Dominica's appreciation for the tangible benefits derived from the partnership with Morocco, which have fostered progress in various sectors.

"Morocco's steadfast commitment to our shared development goals has produced meaningful results," Henderson noted, pointing to advancements in human resource development, educational opportunities for Dominican students in Morocco, and the sharing of valuable agricultural expertise.

Beyond bilateral relations, Henderson reaffirmed Dominica's support for Morocco's territorial integrity, including its sovereignty over the Sahara region. This position aligns with Dominica's endorsement of the Autonomy Plan, a framework that Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit previously highlighted at the November MEDays forum as a credible solution to the Sahara conflict.

Following their meeting, the two ministers released a joint statement outlining a roadmap for cooperation from 2025 to 2027, aiming to strengthen ties and expand collaborative efforts across a range of mutual interests.

In closing, Henderson praised King Mohammed VI's visionary solidarity agenda, emphasizing its positive impact on the Caribbean region through effective socio-economic initiatives that promote stability and security.
