Dacia Maroc sponsors 35th Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles
Dacia Maroc renews its commitment to the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles for a fifth year and becomes the official sponsor of the new crossover category. The 35th all-women race runs from March 27 to April 11 across Moroccan desert dunes and tracks. Over 200 teams navigate using only maps and compasses to reach checkpoints with minimal distance.
Dacia fields two internal teams in Duster 4x4 vehicles. Nomads Hardies pairs Hind Lafdel from purchasing with Nelly Harraf in public affairs. Les Pièssardes unites Sara Boumalik and Sihame Goumairi from after-sales service. The women completed intensive training in navigation, mechanics and desert survival.
The event emphasizes strategy over speed. Teams cover 2,500 kilometers in full autonomy. Dacia highlights Duster versatility with 4x4 traction, interior space and proven reliability on varied terrain.
Dacia's involvement goes beyond sponsorship. Internal teams embody brand values of authenticity, solidarity and self-improvement. Mobilize Financial Services Maroc and Axa Assurance Maroc provide logistical support alongside optimized vehicles.
The rally rewards efficiency. Winning teams log the fewest kilometers, promoting environmental respect. Created in 1991, the race drew participants from 15 countries last year and boosts sustainable Saharan tourism.
Dacia positions the Duster as ideal for adventure seekers. The model leads sales in Morocco and has proven itself in prior editions. Sponsoring the crossover class promotes hybrid performance vehicles.
The race starts in Ouarzazate. Dacia teams challenge gender barriers in motorsports. Morocco's automotive sector accounts for 10 percent of GDP. Female participation signals empowerment in a male-dominated field.
