Cristiano Ronaldo explores fiction with upcoming series “Day 1s”
Cristiano Ronaldo could soon take on a new role away from professional football, with the Portuguese star reportedly linked to “Day 1s,” a drama series exploring the hidden world of the football industry.
The project is expected to take viewers behind the scenes of professional football, focusing on player agents, transfer negotiations, financial interests and the rivalries that shape the modern game. The story will reportedly follow Stanley Dalton, a fictional agent navigating the complex relationships and high-stakes decisions surrounding the transfer market.
Ronaldo is also expected to be involved in the project as an executive producer, expanding his activities in the entertainment industry. The footballer is reportedly associated with the production through UR•Marv Studios, a company he co-founded with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, known for his work on the “Kingsman” film franchise.
The reported cast brings together figures from both the entertainment and sporting worlds. British actor Damian Lewis is expected to play the lead role, while former France international Thierry Henry is also linked to the production. British rapper Dave and actress Carlotta Baratt are reportedly among the other names involved in the series.
Filming is said to be underway in London, with some scenes reportedly scheduled to be shot at Brentford FC Stadium. The production has also attracted interest from international streaming platforms, although details about its eventual broadcaster and release date have yet to be officially confirmed.
Ronaldo's reported involvement in “Day 1s” would represent another step in his growing business and media activities beyond football. If officially confirmed, the series could mark a significant new chapter in the career of one of the world's most recognizable athletes, as he expands his presence into fiction and entertainment.
