BCP signs student financing and digital transformation deals at Gitex Africa
BCP Group signed two agreements at GITEX Africa in Marrakech focused on expanding access to higher education for African students and accelerating the digital transformation of its banking operations.
The first agreement involves the International University of Rabat and Banque Centrale Populaire International. It aims to make Moroccan higher education more accessible to students from across Africa through a combined support system.
Under the partnership, the university will manage student reception, housing support, tuition-related services, and integration into campus life. Banque Centrale Populaire International will provide tailored financial solutions, including student loans, banking services, and support for families managing education costs abroad.
BCP representatives said the initiative seeks to strengthen Morocco’s position as a destination for higher education while contributing to regional development through improved access to academic opportunities.
The second agreement, signed with Huawei Morocco, focuses on modernizing the bank’s technological infrastructure. The partnership covers the deployment of artificial intelligence tools, enhanced cybersecurity systems, cloud computing, and advanced data storage solutions.
The project also includes the rollout of SD-WAN infrastructure to improve network performance and resilience. The objective is to increase operational efficiency while reinforcing the protection of customer data.
BCP said the collaboration is part of a broader effort to position the group as a key player in the digital transformation of Morocco’s banking sector. The initiative aims to support the development of more secure, efficient, and scalable financial services.
Together, the two agreements reflect a dual strategy centered on education, innovation, and digital modernization, with a focus on long-term development in Morocco and across Africa.
