Fouzi Lekjaa re-elected to FIFA Council and CAF Executive Committee
Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, has been re-elected to the FIFA Council and the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). This election took place during the CAF General Assembly held today in Cairo, Egypt.
Lekjaa received overwhelming support from the CAF Executive Committee members, securing 49 out of 53 votes. This result underscores his prominent position in both African and global football.
The extensive backing reflects Lekjaa's significant contributions to Moroccan, Arab, and African football, along with the strong relationships between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and various football associations across the continent. Lekjaa was first elected to the FIFA Executive Committee on March 12, 2021, during the CAF General Assembly in Rabat, Morocco.
