The Tanger Med Port has achieved a significant milestone by securing third place in the 2024 Global Port Performance Index (CPPI), marking a remarkable leap from its previous fifth position. This advancement underscores Morocco's relentless efforts to enhance its port infrastructure and logistics sector, establishing Tanger Med as a leader among African and Mediterranean container ports.

Recognized Progress in Global Rankings

Highlighted in the annual report of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the port's improved ranking reflects its pivotal role on the global stage. With a performance score of 159.6 points, Tanger Med outperformed several major international ports. In comparison, a prominent Spanish port ranked 12th with 142.3 points, while Egypt’s Port Said secured 16th place with 131.2 points.
