Turkish Airlines reported strong traffic results for January 2026, transporting 7.6 million passengers and achieving an overall load factor of 84%, reflecting continued growth in both domestic and international operations. The airline also increased its available seat kilometers (ASK) by 10% compared to January 2025.

Key figures from January 2026:

  • International flight load factor reached 83.7%, while domestic flights achieved 87.5%.
  • International-to-international connecting passengers rose by 10.8%, from 2.8 million in January 2025 to 3.1 million.
  • Available seat kilometers (ASK/SKO) increased from 21.5 billion to 23.7 billion.
  • Cargo and mail volumes grew 18.8%, totaling 178,300 tons.
  • Turkish Airlines’ fleet consisted of 522 aircraft by the end of January 2026.

The traffic data consolidates figures from both the main Turkish Airlines brand and its subsidiary AJet. Founded in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Turkish Airlines today operates 485 aircraft serving 353 destinations worldwide, including 300 international and 53 domestic, across 131 countries. The airline is a member of Star Alliance, which provides a vast network of connecting flights to over 1,160 airports in 192 countries.

The strong start to 2026 highlights Turkish Airlines’ resilience and strategic growth in both passenger and cargo operations amid the competitive global aviation market.
