Cfg: Souad Benbachir steps down as deputy ceo

CFG Bank has announced a significant leadership change following the decision of Souad Benbachir Hassani to step down from her position as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

During a meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors, chaired by Adil Douiri, Benbachir informed members of her intention to end her executive mandate. She expressed her wish to focus more on her responsibilities as a board member and to continue contributing through the various committees of the institution.

The Board acknowledged her decision with regret, highlighting her long-standing role in the development of Casablanca Finance Group, the institution that later became CFG Bank. Her involvement dates back to the early stages of the group in 1995, where she played a key role in its growth and transformation into a major player in Morocco’s financial sector.

In its statement, the Board of Directors thanked her for her valuable contribution over nearly three decades. The Chairman also expressed hope that she may, in the future, return to an executive role within the bank’s senior management team.

This transition marks an important moment in the governance evolution of CFG Bank, which continues to strengthen its position in the Moroccan banking landscape through strategic leadership and institutional continuity.
