AMMC approves Veolia Environnement employee share offering for Moroccan subsidiaries
Morocco's Capital Market Authority (AMMC) has approved the final prospectus for Veolia Environnement's capital increase reserved for employees, allowing eligible staff of the group's Moroccan subsidiaries to participate in the international employee share ownership programme.
The regulator announced that it granted its approval on 31 July 2026, clearing the way for the offering to proceed in Morocco under the terms outlined in the prospectus.
The transaction forms part of Veolia's broader strategy to encourage employee share ownership across its global operations.
Up to 14.8 million new shares to be issued
The capital increase provides for the issuance of up to 14,834,468 new shares reserved exclusively for employees of the Veolia Group.
In Morocco, the programme is open to employees working at several subsidiaries, including Veolia Services à l’Environnement Maroc, Veolia Environnement Industries Maroc, Amendis, Redal, Amanor, Veos Déchets Dangereux, and the Société Marocaine de Broyage et de Recyclage de Matière.
The initiative enables eligible employees to acquire shares under conditions established by the company and approved by the financial regulator.
Subscription period opens in early August
According to the approved prospectus, the subscription and withdrawal period in Morocco runs from 1 August to 4 August 2026, inclusive.
The subscription price has been set at €31.33 per share, equivalent to approximately MAD 335.25 under the exchange rate applied for the transaction.
Eligible employees will be able to subscribe during this period in accordance with the procedures established by the offering.
Employee ownership remains a strategic tool
Employee share ownership programmes have become an increasingly common feature among multinational companies, providing staff with an opportunity to participate directly in the company's long-term performance while strengthening employee engagement.
For Veolia, the latest capital increase reinforces its commitment to broadening employee participation across international operations, including its activities in Morocco, where the group operates in environmental services, water management, waste treatment and recycling.
The AMMC's approval confirms that the offering complies with Morocco's regulatory framework governing public financial market operations.
