Eredivisie: PSV defeats Heerenveen with Saibari’s key assist
PSV Eindhoven strengthened its position at the top of the Eredivisie after a 2-0 away victory against SC Heerenveen on Saturday, during the 15th round of the Dutch league.
Moroccan international Ismaël Saibari played a decisive role in the second goal, providing an assist to Ricardo Pepi in the 27th minute. The first goal came a few minutes earlier from Joey Veerman in the 22nd minute.
With this win, PSV reached 40 points, maintaining its lead over second-placed Feyenoord, who will host FC Zwolle later. Meanwhile, Ajax Amsterdam, NEC Nijmegen, and AZ Alkmaar compete closely for third place, each with 24 points before their matches in this round.
The team also marked a historic achievement by winning their last 13 consecutive away league games, equaling the club’s longest ever away winning streak in league history.
