Trump promises patriot missiles for Ukraine amid renewed criticism of Putin
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday his decision to send Patriot air defense missile systems to Ukraine, asserting they are essential for the country’s protection amid ongoing Russian attacks.
Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating: “He talks nicely, but then bombs everyone in the evening.” Trump emphasized the urgency of Ukraine’s need, while also mentioning that the European Union would reimburse the U.S. for the cost of the missiles.
