RNI's national tour begins in Dakhla, celebrating diplomatic and developmental progress

The political bureau of the Rassemblement National des Indépendants (RNI) convened on the evening of May 2, 2025, in the city of Dakhla, under the leadership of party head Aziz Akhannouch. This meeting is part of an organizational tradition that reflects the party's commitment to advanced regionalization and proximity to citizens, with a tour planned to cover all regions of the kingdom.

Akhannouch delivered a comprehensive presentation addressing political, social, and economic developments, as well as regional and international issues, reaffirming the party's support for royal initiatives concerning sovereignty and development.

On the diplomatic front, the political bureau expressed pride in Morocco's ongoing diplomatic successes under royal guidance, particularly regarding the increasing recognition of the Moroccan identity of the Sahara and the credibility of the autonomy proposal. The bureau also praised the King's meeting with the foreign ministers of three Sahelian countries—Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso—highlighting Morocco's involvement in strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing South-South cooperation, including facilitating their access to the Atlantic Ocean.

In terms of development, the party underscored significant advancements in the southern provinces, commending the results of the specific development model initiated in 2015, which has seen a budget exceeding 80 billion dirhams, transforming the region into a genuine economic leverage and a strategic investment hub.

Furthermore, the political bureau reiterated its firm condemnation of Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip, expressing solidarity with Morocco's unwavering stance, under King Mohammed VI, in favor of establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

On the occasion of Labor Day, the party highlighted achievements in social dialogue, notably the anticipated salary increases for civil servants, which are projected to exceed 45 billion dirhams by 2026, alongside the rise in the minimum wage in both public and private sectors, and reforms related to retirement pensions, reflecting the government's commitment to improving conditions for the working class.

In the social domain, the political bureau applauded progress made in expanding health insurance and direct social support, benefiting over 3.9 million families, in addition to housing and employment programs, despite climatic challenges and the repercussions of drought.

Organizationally, the party announced the launch of the "Massar Al-Injazat" (Path of Achievements) tour, a communication initiative covering 12 regions and more than 70 municipalities. This tour will provide an opportunity to discuss the mid-term assessment, listen to citizens' concerns, and contribute to public debate through the "Debates of Independents" meetings.
