In a move that promises to strengthen cultural and economic ties between Morocco and Brazil, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced the highly anticipated resumption of its direct air route connecting Casablanca and São Paulo. Commencing on December 7th, the national carrier will operate three weekly flights between the two vibrant cities, reinvigorating a crucial air bridge that facilitates the seamless movement of travelers and trade.

According to a statement released by RAM, the direct flights from Casablanca to São Paulo will depart on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 4:40 PM (local time), arriving in the Brazilian metropolis at 10:20 PM (local time). The return flights from São Paulo will take off on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12:20 AM (local time), touching down in Casablanca at 1:15 PM.

Furthering RAM's commitment to sustainable aviation, these direct flights will be operated by the cutting-edge Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, renowned for their exceptional comfort, safety, and reduced carbon footprint. Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc, underscored the significance of this route's revival, stating, "The resumption of this air route aligns with the national carrier's development plan, enabling us to strengthen our long-haul network and, more importantly, mark our return to the Latin American continent."

Addou emphasized the route's potential to facilitate the movement of tourists and business travelers between the two continents, adding, "This line will cater to the expectations of European tourists seeking to combine trips to Africa and Latin America."

The reinstatement of the Casablanca-São Paulo route is not merely a strategic move for RAM but also a testament to the deepening ties between Morocco and Brazil, longtime partners whose diplomatic and economic relations have solidified in recent years. Furthermore, the revival of this service is part of RAM's mobilization efforts to support the Kingdom's grand projects, notably the highly anticipated global sporting event that Morocco, Spain, and Portugal will jointly host – the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Brazilian football enthusiasts, renowned for their passion for the beautiful game, will now have the opportunity to travel seamlessly and comfortably between São Paulo and the three host nations via RAM's hub in Casablanca. The flights will be available for purchase starting June 12th through the national carrier's website, call centers, commercial agencies, and travel agency networks.

As Morocco and Brazil forge closer bonds through initiatives like this direct air link, the stage is set for an unprecedented exchange of cultures, business opportunities, and shared experiences. RAM's commitment to bridging continents and fostering global connectivity is poised to usher in a new era of collaboration between these two dynamic nations.
