New Direct Flights Connect Rabat and Jeddah: A Gateway to Enhanced Travel
In a significant development for air travel between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, announced the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Rabat to Jeddah. This initiative underscores the robust relationship between the two nations and is seen as a precursor to further air links that will facilitate travel between various cities in Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
The announcement was made in collaboration with Manasik Aviation, a burgeoning Saudi airline making strides in the aviation sector. The newly established route not only enhances accessibility but also aims to strengthen the ties between the two countries. The CEO of Manasik Aviation, Youssef Al-Jahani, expressed gratitude towards Morocco for its support in making this project a reality.
Al-Jahani emphasized that the new flights from Rabat to Jeddah and Medina will significantly ease travel for Moroccan pilgrims and tourists, providing them with convenient options to reach sacred sites in Saudi Arabia. He anticipates that this route will not only boost tourism but also open new commercial avenues. Furthermore, he hinted at plans for an additional route connecting Rabat to Riyadh in the near future.
Since entering the Moroccan market in December 2023, Manasik Aviation has quickly established itself within the aviation landscape. The introduction of this direct flight is a testament to the company's commitment to expanding its network in response to rising demand for direct flights for business, tourism, and pilgrimage purposes.
Officials from Manasik Aviation highlighted that facilitating pilgrimages from Morocco to Medina adds a spiritual dimension to their services. Since its inception, the airline has successfully launched flights from Agadir and Tangier, with plans to extend operations to Fes and potentially other cities like Oujda and Marrakech.
This new air route marks a pivotal moment for travelers seeking seamless connections between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, fostering both cultural exchange and economic collaboration.
