New arrest in London after ambush on Jewish Community ambulances
A new arrest has been made in connection with the arson attack on ambulances belonging to the Jewish volunteer organization Hatzola in London. The incident occurred on the night of March 23 in the Golders Green district, an area with a significant Jewish population, and thankfully resulted in no injuries.
During a recent court hearing, prosecutor Emma Harraway announced the latest arrest while three previously charged suspects appeared before a judge. Details about the newly arrested individual were not disclosed.
The three suspects, Hamza Iqbal, 20, Rehan Khan, 19, and a 17-year-old British-Pakistani minor, all from East London, had been charged with "arson likely to endanger life" after being arrested earlier. At the Westminster court hearing, they confirmed their identities but provided no further statements.
Authorities emphasized that evidence indicates the attack was deliberate and meticulously planned, including attempts to conceal the actions. Prosecutors described it as a "targeted and premeditated assault on the Jewish community."
The judge ordered that all three remain in custody until their next hearing on April 24. The minor will be held in a facility for young offenders.
