Morocco Targets Tourism Boost from Chinese Travelers with Finn Partners Partnership
Morocco has made a strategic move to expand its global reach and attract more Chinese tourists, partnering with international consultancy Finn Partners to lead its marketing efforts in the Asian market.
The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has tapped Finn Partners to spearhead a robust mix of PR strategies, influencer marketing, social media content, events, and brand partnerships. This collaboration aims to elevate Morocco's appeal and visibility in China, building on the country's recent recognition as Africa's leading destination in 2023.
"Traveling to Morocco offers Chinese tourists a truly adventurous journey that includes authentic cultural immersion, natural wonders, diverse outdoor activities, world-class luxury, and a host of wellness and mindfulness experiences," stated Hicham Bellaziz, chief representative of the ONMT in China.
Finn Partners will work to showcase Morocco as an "awe-inspiring destination," boosting its profile in the Chinese market and enticing travelers to choose the North African country for their next adventure. "We are excited about the appointment and are confident in our ability to establish a strong foundation to elevate ONMT's marketing efforts to new levels," said Jenny Lo, managing partner of Finn Partners China.
The ultimate goal is to deliver compelling narratives that capture Morocco's unique charm and build partnerships to showcase its natural beauty, culture, art, and lifestyle. By tapping into the growing Chinese tourism market, Morocco hopes to break into the world's top 10 most popular tourist destinations by 2026.
