Morocco is participating in an international forum on the future of the Mediterranean, which is being held in Granada from April 2 to 4. The forum, organized under the rotating Spanish presidency of the Union for the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, focuses on key topics such as migration movements, climate change, youth employment, and gender equality in the Mediterranean region.

During the event, heads of delegations planted olive trees from their regions at the Charles V Palace as part of the "Peace Garden: Olive Tree as a Global Symbol of Peace" initiative.

The forum’s opening session will highlight the Alliance of Civilizations and regional stability. Additionally, the program includes discussions on shared challenges in the Mediterranean, such as migration, climate change, youth employment, and gender equality.

The Moroccan parliamentary delegation, led by Rachid Talbi Alami, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean and Deputy President of the Assembly, includes Mohamed Zidouh, Chair of the Cultural Committee.

The Parliamentary Assembly, which consists of 43 countries, serves as a platform for dialogue and cooperation in the Mediterranean region. It holds at least one annual plenary session, gathering representatives from EU countries and their southern Mediterranean partners.
