Moroccan clubs set to shine in Arab Club Champions Cup 2025
Morocco will be represented by three clubs in the upcoming edition of the Arab Club Champions Cup, scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 11, 2025, in Cairo. Wydad Casablanca (WAC), Raja Casablanca (RCA), and AS FAR have been officially selected by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) from a pool of 36 participating teams.
Known today as the King Salman Club Cup, this competition aims to strengthen ties among clubs in the Arab world. It has gained significant popularity in recent years, particularly since its relaunch in 2017 with support from Saudi Arabia.
The 2023 edition, won by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, garnered extensive media coverage and offered lucrative prizes, reaching up to $6 million for the victorious team. This financial incentive makes the tournament highly sought after, often overshadowing the stakes of continental African tournaments.
Raja Casablanca, a former champion, will strive to shine once again alongside Wydad and AS FAR in what promises to be a competitive and well-publicized tournament.
