Deadly explosion in the Ain: third victim found in Trévoux
A third victim has been confirmed following a deadly explosion that struck a residential building in Trévoux, in the Ain department, eastern France. Emergency services announced on Wednesday morning that the body of a woman was recovered from the rubble on Tuesday evening.
The explosion occurred in a four-storey apartment building, causing significant damage and prompting an extensive rescue operation. Two young children, aged three and five, were previously found deceased, bringing the total number of victims to three.
Firefighters and rescue teams worked throughout the night to secure the site and search the debris. According to authorities, the woman’s body was located shortly after 8:00 p.m. during ongoing operations.
