CGEM certifies five firms to assess candidates for responsible SME label

The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) has officially accredited five firms to evaluate applicants for the "Label PME Responsable," an initiative aimed at advancing corporate social responsibility (CSR) among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Morocco.

Launched in May 2025, the Responsible SME Label program is designed to help Moroccan SMEs develop robust CSR strategies aligned with international standards. To ensure a transparent and rigorous certification process, CGEM has partnered with CERTI TRUST, Bureau Veritas, Targetup Consulting, KPMG, and SGS Maroc. These firms were selected based on their expertise in CSR, knowledge of global sustainability frameworks, independence, and methodological accuracy.

CGEM emphasized that this accreditation underscores its commitment to promoting responsible business practices within the SME sector. By enhancing the credibility and quality of the Responsible SME Label, the initiative aims to improve the sustainability, competitiveness, and attractiveness of Moroccan businesses while highlighting their critical role in the country’s economic and social progress.

In October, CGEM's CSR Label Attribution Committee awarded its CSR label to Red Med Private Equity and renewed the distinction for HPS. These acknowledgments reflect the companies’ continued dedication to integrating stakeholder priorities into their operational and strategic policies, further solidifying their commitment to sustainable development.

This effort demonstrates CGEM's resolve to guide Moroccan SMEs toward adopting responsible business models that create shared value and foster long-term growth.
