Bentley Torcal opens a new era for ultra-luxury grand touring

Bentley is preparing to unveil a new chapter in its history with the arrival of Torcal, a new model family that will expand the British luxury automaker’s lineup beyond its iconic Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga ranges.

Scheduled to be officially revealed on September 23, 2026, in London, the Torcal represents the fourth major model family in Bentley’s portfolio and is expected to reinforce the brand’s position in the world of ultra-luxury automobiles.

The name draws inspiration from El Torcal de Antequera, a remarkable geological landscape in Andalusia, Spain, known for its dramatic limestone formations shaped by millions of years of erosion. Bentley said the choice reflects the company’s ambition to connect natural strength and timeless elegance with automotive design.

The name also carries a technical reference. Derived from the Latin word torquere, meaning “to twist,” Torcal echoes the concept of torque, a key element associated with the smooth and effortless power delivery that has long defined Bentley vehicles.

According to Bentley Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Frank-Steffen Walliser, the new model aims to represent the highest expression of the brand’s philosophy, combining performance, comfort, craftsmanship and exceptional materials.

“Since 1919, Bentley has created some of the world’s most accomplished automobiles,” the executive said, highlighting the company’s commitment to British craftsmanship and refined engineering.

Although Bentley has released few technical details about the Torcal, the manufacturer describes it as an innovative vehicle designed to introduce a new direction while preserving the core values that have shaped the brand for more than a century.

The upcoming launch is expected to attract significant attention in the luxury automotive sector, where manufacturers are increasingly seeking to combine traditional craftsmanship with new approaches to performance and design.

Bentley plans to reveal further details ahead of the official presentation, with the Torcal positioned as one of the most anticipated luxury vehicle launches of 2026.
