Bank of America strengthens technology banking team with four senior hires
Bank of America is reinforcing its presence in the technology dealmaking market by recruiting four experienced bankers from major financial institutions, according to internal communications reviewed by media outlets.
The move reflects the bank’s broader strategy to expand its influence in technology-related mergers, acquisitions, and advisory services—an increasingly competitive segment of global investment banking.
Among the new appointments is Gary Kirkham, who joins from Centerview Partners as executive vice chair. In this role, he will advise on strategic transactions across multiple sectors while supporting the bank’s technology advisory activities. The announcement was shared with employees by Purna Saggurti, vice chair of Bank of America and head of Global Corporate and Investment Banking.
The bank has also recruited Jason Rowe from Goldman Sachs. He will serve as global co-head of technology investment banking, working to strengthen the firm’s ability to compete for large technology transactions and strategic advisory mandates.
Two additional bankers are joining the institution from JPMorgan Chase. Mahir Zaimoglu will lead Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) mergers and acquisitions advisory from London, while Patrik Czornik will become co-head of TMT investment banking for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The hires highlight intensifying competition among global banks to secure high-value advisory roles in the technology sector, where mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships continue to shape the industry.
Technology companies remain among the most active participants in global dealmaking, prompting investment banks to strengthen specialized teams capable of handling complex transactions and cross-border deals.
