Gabon's Official Praises Morocco's Steadfast Commitment to Bilateral Relations
In a testament to the enduring camaraderie between nations, Jean-François Ndongou, President of the Transitional National Assembly of Gabon, showered commendations upon Morocco for its unwavering dedication to nurturing Moroccan-Gabonese relations. His accolades resounded during his visit to Rabat on Tuesday, where he extolled Morocco's steadfast commitment to fostering enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation.
Expressing his profound satisfaction, Ndongou hailed the deep-rooted connection between the two nations, recognizing Morocco's unwavering commitment to the time-honored bilateral and fraternal ties shared with Gabon. These sentiments were echoed following insightful deliberations with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, a testament to the mutual resolve of both nations to fortify their bilateral bonds and uphold their common values in strategic partnership.
Emphasizing the pivotal significance of collaboration across various spheres, Ndongou underscored the imperative of joint efforts in economic and military endeavors. Notably, he highlighted the substantial presence of approximately 7,000 Gabonese citizens in Morocco, who reap the benefits of the country's academic and military training programs.
In a gesture of gratitude, Ndongou extended appreciation for Morocco's benevolent gestures toward Gabon, reaffirming Gabon's unwavering support for Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara. Accompanied by a delegation from the Gabonese Transitional National Assembly, Ndongou's visit symbolized a tangible manifestation of the commitment to bolstering inter-parliamentary ties.
During his official sojourn in Morocco, Ndongou held discussions yesterday with Rachid Talbi Alami, the Speaker of Morocco's House of Representatives. Amidst these deliberations, he accentuated the paramount importance of bilateral cooperation, reflecting upon Gabon's historical backing of Morocco's territorial integrity, including its pivotal role in the Green March of 1975.
Despite the recent political developments in Gabon, marked by a military coup, the new leadership remains resolute in its commitment to nurturing amicable relations with Morocco. Their unwavering support for Morocco's sovereignty over the Western Sahara region serves as a testament to the enduring strength of the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
