Hollywood Assault: 90210 Star Ian Ziering Attacked by Minibike Gang

In a startling incident that has reverberated throughout Hollywood, two individuals have been arrested in connection with a bold New Year's Eve assault on actor Ian Ziering from "Beverly Hills, 90210" by a group of reckless individuals on minibikes. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) executed search warrants at two residences in the Los Angeles area, leading to the apprehension of 20-year-old Jacob Esteban Hernandez and 40-year-old Angie Teresa Guizar.

The assault and car vandalism altercation, which the LAPD stated involved at least four members of a "minibike gang," occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on December 31 in the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue. Ziering, known for his roles in "90210" and the "Sharknado" franchise, took to Instagram to recount the harrowing incident, revealing that he was stuck in traffic with one of his two young daughters when the minibikers "approached aggressively."

"In an attempt to assess any damage, I exited my car," Ziering wrote. "This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself."

Portions of the confrontation, unfolding in the heart of Hollywood, were captured on videos posted to social media. These recordings, coupled with information provided by witnesses, proved instrumental in aiding investigators in identifying the suspects.

One particularly disturbing video showed an individual swinging an object at Ziering, narrowly missing him in a harrowing display of violence.

"After the assault, the minibike riders vandalized the motorist's vehicle while his 10-year-old child remained in the front seat," the LAPD stated in their announcement of the arrests. "The victim and his child did not sustain any serious injuries."

Hernandez was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism, with bail set at $50,000, while Guizar was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, with her bail set at $30,000. The case will be presented to the county prosecutor's office for the determination of formal charges.

The arrests have shed light on the alarming issue of reckless minibike gangs operating in Hollywood, posing a threat to the safety of pedestrians and motorists alike. Ziering's ordeal serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers lurking in even the most iconic of locations.
