In a strategic move to bolster domestic tourism, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has announced the launch of the second phase of its 'Ntla9awfbladna' campaign. Set to commence just before the upcoming school holidays, this initiative aims to encourage Moroccans to explore their own country during this peak travel period.

The campaign places a strong emphasis on mobility, highlighting the comfort and efficiency of public transportation options available across Morocco. According to an official statement, the initiative is designed to facilitate seamless travel between regions, thereby enhancing accessibility to various tourist destinations while showcasing the country's diverse landscapes.

This effort aligns with ONMT's broader strategy, which prioritizes domestic tourism as a key component of its "Light in Action" action plan for 2023-2026. The ONMT's commitment is evident in its goal to increase domestic tourist activity, which currently accounts for one-third of the nation’s tourism sector. In fact, over 5.8 million overnight stays have been recorded in classified accommodation establishments within the first eight months of this year.

The campaign is inclusive, targeting a wide demographic across Morocco, and will be complemented by additional communication waves throughout the year. These future initiatives aim not only to promote off-peak travel but also to encourage better planning among travelers.

Looking ahead, ONMT has plans for a third phase set to launch in 2025, focusing on spring and summer vacations with themes centered around coastal and nature tourism. This forward-thinking approach underscores ONMT's dedication to fostering a vibrant internal tourism landscape.

With domestic tourism poised for growth, ONMT’s campaign represents a significant step towards revitalizing interest in local travel and ensuring that Moroccans experience the beauty and richness of their own country.
