Nicolas Arnould recognized among leading academic figures of 2026

Nicolas Arnould, dean and managing director of Rabat Business School at the International University of Rabat, has been recognized by the Trending 2026 platform for his contribution to higher education, academic innovation and the development of business education.

With more than two decades of professional experience, Arnould has built a career combining academic leadership, institutional management and educational development. His work has included managing business-school programs, supporting international accreditation processes and contributing to the expansion of higher-education initiatives across several regions.

Before taking on his current position in Morocco, Arnould held a number of academic and managerial roles at Audencia Business School, SIGEM and French universities. His responsibilities have included program management, institutional leadership and teaching in strategy and management.

His professional experience has also taken him to several international academic centers, including Nantes, Paris, São Paulo, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai. Through these experiences, he has contributed to the development of educational programs, international partnerships and initiatives designed to improve student employability.

International accreditation has been another important area of his career. Arnould has worked with institutions seeking internationally recognized accreditations, including EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB. These standards are widely associated with quality assurance, academic excellence and stronger connections between business schools and the corporate world.

At Rabat Business School, his leadership focuses on combining academic quality with international exposure and innovation. The approach seeks to ensure that educational programs remain aligned with changes in the economy and the evolving needs of employers.

Technology and new teaching methods are also becoming increasingly important within this model. Hybrid learning, digital tools, student experience and social responsibility are among the areas receiving greater attention, alongside the development of partnerships with companies and economic institutions.

Arnould's recognition comes at a time when Moroccan business schools are seeking to strengthen their international visibility and competitiveness. International accreditation, partnerships with businesses and stronger links between academic programs and labor-market requirements have become increasingly important factors in higher education.

The selection by Trending 2026 therefore highlights a broader transformation taking place within business education. As universities and business schools adapt to technological change, globalization and new professional requirements, academic leaders are increasingly expected to combine institutional management with innovation and international development.

For Morocco, the growing visibility of academic leaders and business schools on international platforms also reflects the country's ambitions to strengthen its position as an educational and economic hub connecting Africa, Europe and other international markets.
