Casablanca to host international poultry leaders at IPC meeting
Casablanca is set to welcome prominent leaders from the poultry industry during the Annual International Poultry Council (IPC) Meeting, scheduled for April 7-10, 2025. This significant event, organized in collaboration with Morocco’s Interprofessional Federation of the Poultry Sector (FISA), aims to address critical issues affecting the global poultry landscape.
The four-day conference will foster international cooperation and facilitate the exchange of best practices in production, trade, and regulation. Participants can look forward to engaging in general IPC sessions, insightful presentations, and technical workshops led by esteemed experts from around the world.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit local poultry production facilities, providing them with firsthand insights into Morocco’s latest innovations and technologies within the sector. This aspect of the meeting is designed to enhance networking opportunities, allowing industry professionals to forge valuable partnerships.
Government officials, CEOs from leading global firms, and industry experts will be present alongside representatives from FISA, which oversees the regulation and development of Morocco’s poultry sector.
The opening address will be delivered by Minister of Agriculture Ahmed El Bouari, who will outline the prospects for the poultry sector both domestically and internationally.
The IPC represents a significant portion of the global poultry market, accounting for over 88% of poultry meat production and 95% of international trade. The organization is dedicated to promoting sustainable, science-based solutions aimed at improving production systems, ensuring food security, and facilitating dialogue between producers and regulatory authorities.
This high-profile gathering underscores Morocco's growing importance in the global poultry industry while providing a platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector worldwide. According to a recent study by Mordor Intelligence, Morocco's poultry market is projected to reach $5.08 billion in 2025, with estimates suggesting an increase to $6.19 billion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.03%. The study highlights Morocco as a key poultry-producing nation in Africa, noting a rising demand that has spurred increased production of poultry-related goods.
