Taiwan Struck by Magnitude 7.4 Earthquake: Tsunami Alert Issued
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the eastern coast of Taiwan on Wednesday morning, triggering tsunami alerts in Taiwan and Japan, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake was followed by several strong aftershocks, the US institute added.
Experts say this is the largest earthquake to hit Taiwan in 25 years.
