Snow disruption eases as bus services gradually resume in Paris
Public transport conditions in Paris began to improve on Tuesday morning after snowfall disrupted bus services across the capital the previous day. According to the city’s transport operator, several bus lines were progressively restored as road conditions became safer.
Around thirty bus routes were operating early Tuesday, while others remained temporarily suspended as a precaution due to icy streets. Transport officials said additional lines would resume service once conditions allowed. Overnight bus services were not able to operate during the night because of the weather.
In contrast, metro, RER and tramway services returned to normal operations, offering relief to commuters after a difficult start to the week. Passenger information continued to be updated through official digital platforms and social media channels.
Weather authorities maintained heightened alerts in parts of northern and western France due to freezing temperatures and lingering ice risks. However, conditions were expected to gradually improve later in the morning, allowing for a broader return to normal transport activity.
