Royal Air Maroc suspends flights to Dubai and Doha amid regional tensions
Morocco’s national airline Royal Air Maroc has announced the temporary suspension of flights to and from Dubai and Doha until March 31, citing ongoing security concerns and disruptions affecting air traffic in the Middle East.
In a statement, the airline explained that the decision was taken as a precaution due to the evolving situation in the region, which has led several airlines to review flight routes and operational schedules. The suspension affects both outbound flights from Morocco and return services from the two Gulf destinations.
Royal Air Maroc said its operational and security teams are closely monitoring developments and remain ready to resume services as soon as conditions allow safe travel. The airline emphasized that passenger safety remains its top priority.
Travelers affected by the cancellations have been advised not to go to the airport and instead contact the airline’s customer service center or the travel agency where their tickets were purchased to obtain updated information and alternative options.
The company also encouraged passengers to regularly check the status of their flights and update their contact details through the “Manage my booking” section on the airline’s official website.
Airlines worldwide often adjust their flight schedules when geopolitical tensions or security risks affect specific regions. Industry analysts note that such precautionary measures are intended to ensure passenger safety while maintaining operational flexibility until normal conditions return.
