Orange Maroc showcases ai and 5g innovations at Gitex Africa 2026
Orange Maroc presented a series of artificial intelligence and connectivity solutions at GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech, positioning data control, cybersecurity, and network performance at the center of its strategy.
The operator used the event to demonstrate new use cases combining generative AI, sovereign data infrastructure, and advanced connectivity. Among the main highlights was a drone powered by artificial intelligence and 5G designed to inspect mobile antennas, offering a practical example of predictive maintenance and automated network operations.
Artificial intelligence formed a core pillar of the company’s showcase. Orange Maroc introduced a platform called Live Intelligence, which allows businesses to deploy large language models in a controlled environment where data sources and access rights remain fully managed.
The company also detailed its broader data and AI strategy integrated into its cloud offering. This framework includes high-performance computing capabilities that enable organizations to build, train, and deploy AI models securely. The approach aims to support companies moving from pilot projects to full-scale industrial deployment while maintaining strict control over strategic data.
Orange Maroc emphasized its role as a multi-cloud partner capable of managing hybrid environments that combine local infrastructure with global cloud providers. This model seeks to balance performance and flexibility with data sovereignty requirements, while supporting clients across the full lifecycle of digital transformation, from strategy to infrastructure operations.
Cybersecurity featured prominently in the company’s announcements. Orange Maroc integrates artificial intelligence into its security operations center using Qevlar AI, a system designed to improve threat detection and anticipate cyberattacks. The solution provides organizations with real-time visibility into their exposure to digital risks.
The operator also announced several partnerships aimed at strengthening Morocco’s digital sovereignty. In collaboration with Technopark and Amazon Web Services, Orange Maroc launched the IA Garden program, which aims to build a national AI ecosystem linking startups, enterprises, and public institutions. The initiative provides access to advanced tools such as AWS Bedrock and SageMaker for local solution development.

In parallel, a partnership with Ericsson focuses on developing industrial 5G connectivity through hybrid architectures combining public IoT networks and private networks. A dedicated 5G lab will support experimentation in sectors such as logistics, energy, and smart territories.
Orange Maroc also introduced an AI-driven recruitment experience in partnership with Jobzyn, allowing candidates to explore job opportunities through an interactive platform and engage directly with the company during the event.
Throughout GITEX Africa, the operator hosted conferences on topics including digital twins, cybersecurity operations, private mobile networks, and next-generation WiFi technologies. These sessions targeted public and private sector decision-makers seeking to deploy advanced digital infrastructure.
The company’s presence reflects Morocco’s broader ambition to position itself as a technology hub in Africa, with a focus on secure, sovereign, and scalable digital systems.
