North Carolina: Two dead and seven seriously injured in mass shooting
The United States has once again been shaken by gun violence. On Saturday, October 25, at least two people were killed and seven others critically injured in a mass shooting in North Carolina, according to local authorities, as reported by ABC News.
In total, 13 people were struck by gunfire during the incident, which occurred during a large outdoor party near the town of Maxton, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
More than 150 people reportedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Authorities have launched an investigation but have not yet determined how many shooters were involved.
“We are asking anyone with information about this incident, or who was present at the time of the shooting, to contact the Sheriff’s investigators,” the office said in an official statement.
