Nintendo Switch 2 sales surge past 17 million units in nine months
Nintendo has reported a remarkable start for its new console, the Switch 2, selling over 17 million units in just nine months since its launch in June 2025. The success has helped the Japanese gaming giant boost its net profit by more than 50% for the period ending December 2025.
A company statement highlighted that sales continued strongly through the holiday season, reinforcing Nintendo’s confidence in maintaining its annual sales target of 19 million units for the Switch 2. The firm also confirmed its projected annual net profit of 350 billion yen.
