Morocco Revolutionizes Consular Services with 'Rendez-vous' and 'eTimbre' Digital Platforms
In a significant move to improve the quality of consular services for its citizens abroad, Morocco has launched two innovative digital platforms, 'Rendez-vous' and 'eTimbre,' across all its diplomatic missions and consular posts. This initiative, which commenced on April 1, aims to address the longstanding demands of the Moroccan expatriate community for more streamlined and efficient consular services.
The 'Rendez-vous' system introduces a modern appointment management system, similar to those used in various host country administrations. Through this platform, Moroccan nationals residing abroad can now conveniently schedule appointments, choosing times and dates that suit their availability. This user-friendly approach is expected to meet the expectations and aspirations of expatriates for contemporary and efficient consular services.
Complementing 'Rendez-vous,' the 'eTimbre' platform represents a significant step towards the modernization of consular processes. This digital payment system is designed to enhance transparency in administrative transactions, further streamlining the consular experience for Moroccan expatriates.
Since their launch, these innovative platforms have attracted significant attention. Over 3.2 million appointments have been booked through the 'Rendez-vous' system, serving more than 5 million consular service requests from Moroccan expatriates. Meanwhile, the 'eTimbre' system has facilitated over 2.8 million consular transactions, revolutionizing the delivery of consular services.
To ensure a smooth transition and support for users, the consular call center and Consular Services of the Kingdom Abroad are providing comprehensive assistance. Additionally, the deployment of Electronic Payment Terminals (EPTs) at consular posts further underscores Morocco's commitment to modernizing its consular services and enhancing the overall experience for its citizens abroad.
