Morocco prepares to observe moon sighting for Eid al-Fitr 2026

Authorities in Morocco are preparing to observe the lunar crescent that will determine the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr in 2026.

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that the official moon sighting will take place on the evening of March 19. This observation is essential to confirm the start of the month of Chawwal in the Islamic calendar.
