LG Electronics Maroc and Tibu Africa Join Forces to Empower Moroccan Youth

LG Electronics Maroc and Tibu Africa have recently signed an agreement in Casablanca with the aim of strengthening access to education, promoting youth empowerment, and improving their well-being, using technology as a driver of social innovation.

This partnership, sealed in the presence of Mr. Taekweon Baek, General Manager and Vice President of the Maghreb region at LG Electronics, Mr. Mohamed Amine Zariat, Founding President of Tibu Africa, as well as Dr. Nabil Layachi, Nutritionist Dietitian, entails LG Electronics providing technological equipment to Tibu Africa, a renowned organization in the field of sports-based development in Morocco, for their educational centers, along with training provided by its teams.

"This partnership with Tibu Africa represents a strong commitment from LG Electronics to Moroccan youth. We are convinced that education and youth empowerment are essential to building a better future. By joining forces with Tibu Africa, we can use technology and sports as powerful tools to inspire and assist the next generation of leaders," said Mr. Taekweon Baek.

The first meeting between LG's teams and the youth from Tibu will take place on April 20, 2024. This inaugural encounter will mark the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the two entities. It will take place during a half-day of interactive activities at the School of the Second Chance in the Old Medina of Casablanca. This event will involve participation from LG Electronics Maroc staff and children beneficiaries of Tibu Africa's programs. The agenda will include sports sessions and technological workshops, aimed at stimulating personal development and fostering exchange of experiences among participants.

Tibu Africa, founded in 2011, is recognized as a key player in sports-based development in Morocco. To date, the organization has impacted the lives of over 250,000 beneficiaries in Morocco and five African countries, focusing on education, empowerment, and social inclusion of youth through sports.
