JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance have welcomed their fourth child, a baby boy named Alec Neil Vance, shortly after the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
The United States Vice President announced the birth on Sunday, sharing the news with his followers on the social media platform X. Vance said that both his wife and their newborn son were doing well, adding that their other children were excited to meet their new younger brother.
According to the announcement, the baby was born at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The arrival of the couple’s fourth child comes as Vance continues his role as one of the leading figures in the current US administration.
The news was shared shortly after the conclusion of the World Cup final, where Spain secured the title against Argentina in a match held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The event was attended by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
JD Vance, originally from Ohio, became a prominent political figure after entering national politics. His wife, Usha Vance, is the daughter of Indian immigrants and has a background in law. The couple met while studying at Yale Law School, where they both graduated in 2013.
