Israel signs new deal to expand F-35 fighter jet range

Israel’s Ministry of Defense has signed a new agreement worth $34 million with Elbit Systems to develop external fuel tanks designed for F-35 fighter jets. The project aims to improve the aircraft’s operational range and flight endurance during long-distance missions.

According to official information released on Thursday, the new fuel tanks will allow the F-35 aircraft to remain airborne for longer periods without compromising its advanced stealth capabilities. The initiative reflects Israel’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its air force and modernize military technology amid evolving regional security challenges.
