Hamas announces the names of three Israeli prisoners ahead of their release
A senior Hamas official announced on Friday that Palestinian armed factions in Gaza will release three Israeli prisoners on Saturday as part of the ceasefire agreement.
Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for Hamas' military wing, confirmed that the group will free Sagi Dekel, Chen, and Yair Horn.
In a separate statement, the Islamic Jihad Movement declared that it will release Russian-Israeli captive Alexander Turpanov under the same agreement.
On Monday, a Hamas spokesperson indicated that the movement had postponed the next phase of prisoner releases, citing Israeli violations of the truce agreement.
Hamas' military spokesperson stated that over the past three weeks, resistance leaders have observed multiple breaches of the agreement by Israel. These violations include delays in allowing displaced individuals to return to northern Gaza, attacks on evacuees through shelling and gunfire in various areas, and failure to deliver humanitarian aid as agreed.
