Gaza resistance responds amid ongoing Israeli incursions
As Israel expands its declared buffer zones around the northern, eastern, and southern borders of Gaza, it has generally avoided densely populated urban centers, wary of strong resistance operations.
Nevertheless, Israeli airstrikes have continued across the Gaza Strip, frequently hitting residential areas and refugee camps.
Tensions escalated significantly when Israeli forces moved into the eastern part of Sheja’iya in Gaza City. In swift response, Palestinian resistance groups carried out calculated attacks targeting Israeli troops.
Here are the latest official updates from Palestinian resistance factions:
Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas):
According to Al-Aqsa TV, Al-Qassam fighters confronted Israeli forces in eastern Sheja’iya, reportedly inflicting casualties. In contrast, Israeli Army Radio reported that an explosive device struck an Israeli tank in the same area but claimed there were no injuries.
Al-Quds Brigades (Islamic Jihad):
The group released a video showing its fighters tracking and shooting an Israeli sniper who was allegedly targeting civilians from atop Al-Muntar Hill in Sheja’iya.
