Fuel prices in France continue to decline at petrol stations, confirming a downward trend that has been observed over recent weeks after months of volatility in global energy markets.

The gradual easing of prices comes as international oil markets stabilize following periods of geopolitical uncertainty that had previously driven costs higher. Market analysts note that improving supply expectations and reduced tensions in key producing regions have contributed to the recent price correction.

Diesel, which is typically more sensitive to global supply disruptions due to its refining and import dependence, remains the most expensive fuel type. However, its average price has fallen close to the symbolic threshold of two euros per litre, reflecting a broader easing in wholesale energy costs.
