Epstein files reveal shipment of sacred Kaaba cloth to the United States
Recently released documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein have revealed correspondence describing the transfer of pieces of the Kaaba’s sacred cloth from Makkah to the United States, allegedly arranged through contacts connected to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the emails, dated 2017, three textile items associated with the Kiswa — the black and gold-embroidered covering of the Kaaba — were shipped by air freight from Saudi Arabia to Florida. The exchanges outline logistical details including customs procedures, invoicing and delivery coordination.
The Kaaba holds profound religious significance for Muslims worldwide, and the Kiswa is replaced annually, with older sections traditionally preserved as revered artefacts. The correspondence suggests that the shipment included one piece from inside the Kaaba, another from the outer covering that had been used, and a third made from similar materials but not placed on the shrine.
The messages highlight awareness of the cloth’s spiritual value, while raising questions about how such items were obtained and transferred abroad. The documents do not clarify the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the individuals involved, nor the purpose of the shipment.
The revelations have sparked renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s international connections and the movement of culturally and religiously sensitive artefacts across borders.
