Donald Trump unveils Lavish White House bathroom renovation in marble and gold

White marble from floor to ceiling: U.S. President Donald Trump proudly showcased on Friday the renovation of the Lincoln Bathroom at the White House — a transformation he described as both “historic” and “worthy of Abraham Lincoln’s legacy.”

The new design replaces the pale green tiles and metal fixtures of the 1940s with polished white marble, golden faucets, and a crystal chandelier. Trump shared before-and-after photos on his social media platform, Truth Social, emphasizing that the previous Art Deco style was “completely inappropriate for Lincoln’s era.”

“I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom in marble and gold. It now truly reflects the dignity and greatness of President Abraham Lincoln,” Trump wrote.

A Symbol of Trump’s Taste for Opulence

The unveiling comes a week after the president approved the demolition of the White House’s East Wing to construct a new $300 million grand ballroom, a project financed by private donors including Amazon, Google, and Lockheed Martin. The White House insists that “not a single taxpayer dollar” is being used for the renovations.

The refurbished Lincoln Bathroom is the first major interior project of Trump’s current term. It is not part of the president’s private quarters but belongs to the Lincoln Suite, which has hosted several high-profile guests — among them tech billionaire Elon Musk, when he chaired the Commission for Government Efficiency.

Known for his fondness for luxury, Trump has also added golden accents to the Oval Office, transformed the White House Rose Garden into a patio, and installed two massive American flags on the South Lawn.
