DNA results reveal grandfather fathered four grandchildren in Moroccan incest case

The case of incest in Ain Aouda, Morocco, has taken a horrifying turn as DNA results confirmed that a 60-year-old grandfather fathered four of his grandchildren. The shocking revelation has sparked outrage across the country, highlighting the devastating consequences of generational sexual abuse.

DNA confirms grandfather as biological father

Judicial sources have confirmed that the elderly man is both the father and grandfather of four children—three girls and one boy—born to his 39-year-old daughter. The disturbing case came to light when the eldest daughter, now 20 years old, filed a complaint accusing her grandfather of being her biological father.

DNA testing corroborated her claims, leading to the arrest of both the 60-year-old man and his daughter. Authorities plan to conduct additional DNA tests on two other children, as investigators suspect another individual may have fathered them.

A history of abuse spanning generations

The investigation revealed that the abuse began in 2009 when the daughter was just 15 years old. She alleges that her father raped her, resulting in the birth of her eldest child, now 20. The truth emerged when the young woman attempted to marry but discovered she lacked official documentation to prove her identity.

Further complicating the case, the 39-year-old mother admitted to suffering years of sexual exploitation at the hands of her father and husband. According to her testimony, her father arranged her marriage through a religious ceremony known as “fatiha,” bypassing legal registration. During this period, she gave birth to four children while enduring abuse from both men.

The mother also accused her own mother of coercing her into prostitution, adding another layer of complexity to the investigation.

Legal proceedings and ongoing investigations

The prosecutor’s office in Rabat has assigned the case to an investigating judge to untangle the intricate web of abuse and relationships. The tribunal has postponed the ruling on provisional release for the accused, with a hearing scheduled for next week.

Despite the grandfather’s admission of sexual relations with his daughter, he denies exploiting his grandchildren, even as DNA evidence proves otherwise. The case has grown even more convoluted following the daughter’s admission to other illegal sexual relationships, further complicating the determination of family lineage.

A national reckoning

This harrowing case has sent shockwaves through Moroccan society, shedding light on the long-lasting impact of family sexual abuse and the systemic failures that allow such atrocities to persist. Authorities continue to investigate to ensure justice for all victims involved in this tragic and deeply troubling case.
