Christina Ricci to star in series adaptation of The Astrology House
Actress Christina Ricci has been cast in the lead role of The Astrology House, a new drama series adapted from the suspense novel by Carinn Jade. The project marks another high-profile television role for Ricci following her recent successes in Yellowjackets and Wednesday.
The story centers on a group of wealthy New Yorkers who travel for a weekend retreat at an astrology-focused wellness center. What begins as a luxurious and relaxing getaway soon descends into tension and danger as hidden conflicts and long-buried secrets emerge.
In addition to starring in the series, Ricci will also serve as an executive producer. The show is being developed by Lindsay Calhoon Bring, co-creator of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. According to the synopsis, the narrative follows the intertwined lives of Rini and Margot, played by Ricci, as unresolved grudges and deception lead to tragic consequences.
Ricci, who recently lent her voice to Catwoman in the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader, is also expected to return for the fourth and final season of Yellowjackets, scheduled to premiere later this year.
