Veteran Egyptian Actor Nabil El Halfawy Passes Away at 77

The passing of celebrated Egyptian actor Nabil El Halfawy has left fans and admirers mourning across the globe. Known for his compelling roles in television and cinema, El Halfawy passed away at the age of 77 after a brief but severe health crisis related to chest complications.

El Halfawy had been hospitalized in intensive care in the days leading up to his death, with his condition deteriorating rapidly. In a heartfelt announcement on his official X account, his sons, Walid and Khaled El Halfawy, shared the news:

“This tweet was not written by the captain himself. We, the sons of Walid and Khaled El Halfawy, share that our father’s prayers were answered. He did not endure a prolonged illness, as he had always prayed for this. God granted his wish. We thank you all for your love and prayers. The funeral prayer will be held today, Sunday, December 15, at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, following the evening prayer.”

El Halfawy’s illustrious career spanned decades, with standout performances that cemented his legacy in Egyptian entertainment. He gained widespread fame as Nadim Hashim, an Egyptian intelligence officer in the iconic series Raafat Al-Hagan, which aired in the 1980s and 1990s.
