Attijariwafa Bank warns of identity theft and spread of false information

The Attijariwafa Bank Group has issued a public warning after discovering a fraudulent video circulating online that uses the image, name, and voice of its Chairman and CEO.

According to the bank, the video — designed to imitate a national media report — redirects viewers to a fake investment platform falsely claiming to be affiliated with Attijariwafa Bank. The scam promises unrealistic financial gains and uses AI-generated content to deceive the public.

The group firmly denies any involvement in this scheme and stresses that it has no investment or trading platform of the kind mentioned in the video. Attijariwafa Bank also announced that it reserves the right to take legal action to protect its image, the reputation of its CEO, and its rights.

The bank urges citizens to remain vigilant against such AI-based scams, which are becoming increasingly common on social networks.
