Amani Association: New Leadership, Renewed Vision

The Amani Association has elected a new board, led by Ms. Yasmina Baddou, to strengthen support for underprivileged children in Casablanca. This marks the beginning of a fresh chapter in the association's commitment to fostering social impact through comprehensive support programs.

The election meeting, held on Friday, brought together key figures, including the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family Affairs, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the President of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council, the President of the Casablanca Provincial Council, the Deputy Mayor of Casablanca, and the Director of the Casablanca Regional Education and Training Academy. Other attendees included the Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, the President of Awal Association, and several cultural, social, and economic stakeholders from Casablanca.

During the event, the Minister of Solidarity emphasized the critical role of civic associations like Amani in addressing societal challenges. Established in 2013 by a group of dedicated Casablancans, the association has focused on supporting children from vulnerable backgrounds in their educational journey, aiming to equip them with the tools necessary to succeed from early childhood through their integration into the job market. The broader goal of Amani is to combat social isolation by providing quality education, organizing cultural and sports activities, and initiating solidarity-driven projects.

A Comprehensive Support Model

Since its inception, the Amani Association has stood out for its holistic approach, combining education, culture, and solidarity. Children are selected based on specific social, familial, and academic criteria and benefit from tailored programs, including:

  • Academic Support: Classes in core subjects like science, mathematics, French, and English, taught by association-funded teachers.
  • Educational Workshops: Covering essential topics such as citizenship, individual freedoms, human rights, gender equality, and solidarity.
  • Cultural and Sports Activities: Enrolling in music institutes, museum visits, film screenings, sports events, and recreational activities that promote personal development.
  • Exploratory Sessions: Field visits organized two to three times annually to foster openness and critical thinking.

All activities take place in the association's dedicated facility, the "Amani Campus Space," designed to create a nurturing and empowering environment. This space enables children to thrive academically and personally, fostering confidence and success.
