Billboard Arabia has introduced the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 and Billboard Arabia Artist 100, two flagship charts aimed at showcasing and supporting the exceptional talent in the Arab music scene.

This groundbreaking platform is the outcome of a strategic partnership between media conglomerate SRMG and Billboard, arriving at a pivotal moment as the music industry in the MENA region undergoes unprecedented growth. Projections estimate that the industry will reach a value of $670 million by 2027.

The newly introduced Billboard Arabia platform is poised to become a central hub for discovering emerging Arab artists and their music. The platform will feature exclusive interviews, reviews, captivating photography, and engaging video content. To ensure an accurate reflection of popularity, the weekly Artist 100 and Hot 100 charts will rank the most listened-to Arab singers and streamed songs, utilizing data from leading platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.

Rami M. Zeidan, Managing Director of Billboard Arabia, shared the vision behind the initiative, stating, "Our goal is to provide Arab artists with access to the global music market and foster collaborations between Arab stars and global icons."

Looking ahead, Billboard Arabia has ambitious plans to launch eight additional genre-specific charts, covering everything from Khaleeji to Arabic hip hop, as it continues to build engagement. Since its soft launch in June, the platform has already garnered nearly 90K followers across its social channels.

The inaugural charts offer a glimpse into the current landscape of leading Arab artists. Pop sensation Sherine Abdel Wahab claims the top spot on the Artist 100, with Moroccan rapper ElGrandeToto securing the second position. ElGrandeToto gained widespread attention with his viral hit “Dellali,” earning him the impressive #5 ranking on the Hot 100 chart. The inaugural charts also showcase a diverse array of musicians, representing the varied tastes of Arab listeners, from soulful Lebanese crooner Marwan Pablo to Emirati singer and producer Ayed, and Jordanian musician Issam Alnajjar.

As Billboard Arabia continues to compile its weekly charts, Arab artists, ranging from rising stars to long-running icons like Amr Diab, are poised to gain enhanced exposure to regional fans and beyond through this innovative platform.
